Due to Passover, the first night of Annual Town Meeting will be Monday, April 1, 2013. After checking into the legality of the postponement with Town Counsel, the Selectmen voted unanimously for this change at their meeting last night. Provisions both in the Massachusetts General Law and the town’s own charter allow for the rescheduling without running afoul of statutory compliance.
Town Warrants, with article descriptions and committee reports, will be mailed to residents at least seven days before the start of Annual Town Meeting, as regulated by law.
