The Bedford Library Summer Reading Program Starts Monday!

June 27, 2024

Charge your e-readers, find your reading glasses, stack up your “to be read” pile, and fill that library bag. The Bedford Free Public Library Summer Reading Program begins this Monday, July 1 and continues through Aug. 23.

There’s a program level for every age: kids, teens, and adults! Each level has challenges, activities, and prizes. There is no cost to participate.

Registration is open now. Sign up to join in on the fun online at bedfordlibrary.beanstack.org or stop by the Library to register in person.

Get a Clue: Kids’ Summer Reading

Each kid will get a tote bag for participating! Earn points along the way for each day reading is logged and for activities completed along the way. Collect points to earn prizes – books, bookmarks, badges, stickers, tattoos, a Reading Champion yard sign, and more.

Crack the Case: Teen Summer Reading

Stop by the Library for a daily turn to win prizes (stickers, buttons, candy, gift cards, and more) on the Prize Wheel! Earn points for each day of reading logged and for completing badges earned by completing activities and reading challenges. When the points stack up, readers earn tickets for a Grand Prize drawing of a Barnes & Noble gift card.

Unravel a Mystery: Adult Summer Reading

Earn points for every day of reading logged! Collect enough points to enter a weekly drawing for prizes and a grand prize at the end of the program.

Prizes and assistance with the Summer Reading program are supplied with the generous support of the Friends of the Bedford Free Public Library.

For questions or issues, stop by the Library, check out the library website, or email [email protected].
