The annual Bedford Day Parade, Fair, 5K, and Fireworks are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21. The bedfordrecreation.org website has been updated with plans, applications and information.
Registration is open now for the Bedford Day 5K. Kicking off at 8:30 a.m. from John Glenn Middle School on Bedford Day and traveling around neighborhood roads, the annual race welcomes runners, joggers, walkers, rollers, and strollers to participate! Registrations before Sept. 1 are guaranteed a t-shirt. Proceeds from the 5K will go to the Recreation Department Scholarship Fund.
Applications are also now open for groups interested in marching in the Bedford Day Parade (kicking off at 10:30 a.m.) and/or reserving a booth during the Bedford Day Fair (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) More information about fees, restrictions and support can be found on the Recreation Department website.
The morning and afternoon events are planned rain or shine, but weather permitting, fireworks are planned to start at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21.
