The Bedford Free Public Library continues to add a variety of free programming for adults, children, and teens, both in person and online. There are two-to-three virtual discussions with authors each week. Below are two of the upcoming programs. To see more offerings, check the library calendar.
The current Broadway musical “Suffs” is reviving American’s memories of the suffragettes and the history of voting rights for women. Author Caitlin Cass will discuss her book, “Suffrage Song: the Haunted History of Gender, Race and Voting Rights in the U.S” in a virtual author talk at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 10. Part graphic novel, part map of the suffrage moment, Cass’s book tells the story of the fight for the right to vote by women from the beginning.
This virtual program is brought to you by the Bedford Free Public Library in partnership with the Ashland Public Library, with thanks to the Friends of the Library.
