The Bedford High School Underclassman Awards Ceremony took place on Wednesday, June 12.
Bedford High School Principal Heather Galante explained, “The Bedford High School Awards Ceremony was introduced in 1984 to recognize high scholarship, work ethic, and effort in each of the academic content areas offered at BHS. Since then, we have expanded the ceremony to include book awards that recognize students for their leadership, community service, citizenship, and character.”
The ceremony was expanded even further this year with the addition of The BUC Award. The BUC Award recognizes “a student or students who contribute positively to the Bedford High School community beyond the classroom and without the expectation of recognition.” Five students earned The BUC Award recognition this year.
Principal Heather Galante applauded all of the students at BHS saying, “We have many deserving students and it is always a highlight to celebrate their accomplishments.”
