A public reception to salute Fay Russo, who plans to retire from her career at Town Center at the end of May, is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, in the Reed Room of Town Hall.
Russo has served as coordinator of rentals in the Town Center since they began 38 years ago, and later her portfolio also included rentals of space in Old Town Hall and the railroad car at Depot Park.
Her office is now in the Facilities Department, which is planning the reception and requesting RSVPs to [email protected].
Russo, who was Bedford’s Citizen-Of-The-Year in 1986, technically is not an employee of the town. She works for a non-profit organization, Bedford Town Center, Inc.
