Plant Fair Coming on May 18 – Who will be exhibiting their crafts?

The First Parish in Bedford will hold its 68th annual plant and craft fair on the Common from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 – rain or shine. There will be lots of plants, music, kids’ activities, baked goods, advice, crafters, and other vendors.  

More than 30 vendors will be on the Common, representing artists and various social causes.

Here is a quick look and description of the vendors who will be exhibiting  on the Common

Ceramics by Dagmar https://www.instagram.com/ceramicsbydagmar/  Hand-crafted ceramics (both stoneware and porcelain) that are made using the wheel as well as hand-building techniques. Offerings will include several spring-themed pieces for your winged garden friends as well as more traditional pottery items.  Dagmar is a Bedford resident and has been a hobby ceramics artist for more than 10 years.
Joyce LamensdorfCreating with clay is fun. It begins with an idea and then wet hands forming clay into a shape, guiding it through a process to the stage of choosing the perfect color/s to glaze the object. Being able to use handmade objects is a token of gratitude to the artist who makes them.
Shahid Budoo Shahid sells handmade Kashmiri shawls, real pashmina, lambs’ wool scarfs. Silk scarfs, custom gold jewelry, silver jewelry, saffron. There is also bee jewelry and shawls.

Silly Goose offers handmade earrings in whimsical designs. Each design is made out of shrink plastic by Audrey, a 7th grader. Stop by her booth and enter to win a custom pair of earrings. 
Ukrainian Cultural Initiative https://ukrainian-cultural-initiative.com/They will be representing the Ukrainian Cultural Initiative, a non-profit organization promoting Ukrainian culture and Ukrainian cause. At this fair, they are offering samples of traditional Ukrainian art, such as Petrykivka painting and hot enamel on copper. All proceeds will go to the artists who are living and working in Ukraine now to support art therapy for children and veterans.
