Melinda Carbone, a first-year student-athlete from Bedford studying education and psychology, competed on the Regis College women’s lacrosse team this spring.

Carbone is a graduate of Lexington Christian Academy, where she played lacrosse and soccer. She served as captain of the LCA lacrosse team for two seasons and was captain of the soccer team during her senior season. She earned honorable mention All-League in 2023, and helped the team win the NEPSAC (New England Preparatory School Athletic Council) Class D title in 2022.

At Regis, Carbone played midfield for the Regis College women’s lacrosse team that had a 9-8 record this season. That’s the most victories for the team since 2019.

Head coach Courtney Duggan earned her 100th career coaching win against Elms on April 6. The team finished third in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) South Division with a 5-2 divisional record and qualified for the GNAC Women’s Lacrosse Tournament.
