The Bedford Police Department, in partnership with the Bedford Rotary Club and Bedford Recreation Safe Routes to School Program, will host the Bicycle Helmet Safety Day from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 1.

Residents are encouraged to stop by the Police Department parking lot on Mudge Way, where Bedford Rotary volunteers will distribute free fitted helmets for child cyclists.

The free helmets are made possible through the sponsorship of the Bedford Rotary Foundation.

Bring your bicycles! After receiving a helmet, children are encouraged to participate in the bike safety course, set up and facilitated by the Bedford Police Department.
