Cynthia Mork, Ben Sears, and First Parish Music Director Brad Conner are performing in “Smoke Gets in your Eyes,” the final show about vices as part of the 2023-2024 season of American Classics.
For the Bedford audience the show will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 21 at First Parish on the Common. There is a Friday evening show at 7:30 p.m. on April 19 at First Church in Cambridge.
“Smoke Gets in Your Eyes” is a collection of American show tunes and arrangements including the title song, “Hernando’s Hideaway,” “These Foolish Things,” “All At Once You Love Her,” “Satin Doll,” “Smoke, Smoke, Smoke,” and other smoldering tunes.
The cast includes Boston musical theatre and cabaret performers; Grace Allendorf, JoAnne Dickinson, Wes Hunter, Julia Nelson, and Robert Saoud, with Catherine Stornetta on the piano.
The music may be smoke-themed, but the environment at First Parish is always smoke-free! The church building is handicap-accessible.
Tickets are $25 or $20 for seniors/students, at the door; or call 617-254-1125. Online ordering: www.amclass.org.
