From the Bedford Department of Public Works:
The Town of Bedford’s contractor is moving forward as planned to realign and reconstruct the North Road/Chelmsford Road intersection beginning the week of April 15. This requires full-depth excavation at this major intersection, and police details will be on site to direct alternating one-way traffic.
There will be temporary periods of uneven pavement and exposed gravel during this phase of the project. DPW has asked the contractor to install additional construction signage in advance of the intersection to warn motorists to drive carefully. All efforts will be made to quickly bring the new roadway configuration online, and lay the first course of asphalt pavement.
