Owen Brough, a Life Scout with Troop 194 in Bedford who is working on his Eagle Scout project, is leading a children’s book drive for the migrant children staying at the Bedford Plaza Hotel.
His goal is to make a “tangible and positive impact on the lives of others and improve the living situation for our new neighbors.”
Owen is asking people in the community to donate children’s books in new or good condition and place them in the boxes provided at New England Nurseries (216 Concord Rd.) and Learning Express (Bedford Market Place – 168 Great Rd., F).
People can also send a donation at https://gofund.me/c120f1cd so he can purchase new books. Brough says, “Thank you for supporting our community and my Eagle Scout Project.”
