How to Access Bedford High School Yearbooks for Free Online

Did you know you can access Bedford High School Yearbooks for free online without signing up for any accounts? 

Thanks to the Internet Archive, a non-profit organization aiming to create the world’s largest digital open library, and a grant from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners offering free digitization services to members of the Boston Public Library (which includes the Bedford Free Public Library), all of the Bedford High School yearbooks from 1958 to present are available to view and download. 

There’s a direct link at the bottom of this, but let’s go through the Bedford Library website and look at a few other resources along the way: 

1. Go to: https://www.bedfordlibrary.net/
2. Click on Resources in the menu toward the top right, and go to Special Collections (on the left under At the Library)
3. Scroll down to Bedford Yearbooks section to bring you to the Bedford Library section of the Internet Archive:  https://archive.org/details/bedfordpubliclibrary.
4. With dates not easily visible, use the slider on the left bar to narrow down the years, and reminisce about a neighbor’s teenage hairstyle, rediscover the name of a former science teacher, gather images for a reunion, or whatever looky-loo activity you are interested in.

And if you are looking for new and old newspapers:

• Click on Resources and then under Research on the right, click on E-Resources and scroll down for access to search The Boston Globe or access to the full New York Times website. 
• If you are looking for older local newspapers within Resources -> Special Collections section stop at the Bedford Newspapers section and view or search archives from Bedford Minuteman (1957–2022), Bedford Enterprise (1915–1921 and 1931–1937), some issues of Bedford Bulletin (1879–1896), and clippings from Boston Herald (and other newspapers covering Bedford) (collected 1913–1926 ).
