Here are more academic awards and honors announcements about Bedford residents sent to The Bedford Citizen from the academic institutions. There will be more to come.

Theresa Hennessey Earns Spot on Dean’s List

Emmanuel College in Boston has named Theresa Hennessey of Bedford to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2023 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean’s List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Emmanuel College is a co-educational, residential institution with a 17-acre campus in the heart of Boston’s educational, scientific, cultural, and medical communities. 

Emerson College Names Katrina Kusa to Dean’s List

Emerson College student Katrina Kusa of Bedford has been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2023 semester. The requirement to make Dean’s List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.

Kusa is majoring in Media Arts Production and is a member of the Class of 2026.

Nicole F. Steele Qualifies for First Honors at Clark

Nicole F. Steele of Bedford qualified for first honors on the Clark University Dean’s List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2023 semester.

Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

Founded in 1887, Clark University is a liberal arts-based research university in Worcester.

Dean’s List Honors for Jayden Bien-Aime

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce that Jayden Bien-Aime of Hanscom Air Force Base has been named to the Dean’s List for Fall 2023.

Spread across seven dynamic schools and colleges, the University of Hartford has a 350-acre campus alongside Connecticut’s capital city with approximately 4,100 undergraduate and 1,800 graduate students representing 48 states and 51 countries who come together for a common purpose: to collaborate across different disciplines, diversify perspectives, and broaden worldviews.

Abigail Monahan Qualifies for Dean’s List Honors

Assumption University in Worcester has announced that Abigail Monahan of Bedford has been named to the University’s Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester. Students named to the Dean’s List must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester to be included on the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters.

“Earning the right to be named to the Assumption University’s Dean’s List is an extraordinary accomplishment and we congratulate those students who demonstrated exemplary academic excellence this semester,” said Assumption University President Greg Weiner, Ph.D. “These students have demonstrated a deep commitment to the pursuit of truth in the company of friends that lies at the heart of the Catholic liberal education Assumption provides.”

Abigail is a member of the Class of 2024.
