Bedford College Students Earn Academic Honors

Many Bedford students earned college academic awards and honors, this is a collection sent to The Bedford Citizen from the academic institutions. There will be more to come.

Andrew Hutchinson Graduates from Georgia Tech

Andrew Hutchinson of Bedford has earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

Hutchinson was among approximately 6,300 undergraduate and graduate students to be presented Georgia Tech degrees during the Institute’s 265th Commencement exercises on Dec. 15 – 16 at McCamish Pavilion.

Joseph DiPietro Named to Holy Cross Dean’s List

Joseph DiPietro of Bedford was named to the College of the Holy Cross Dean’s List.

A member of the Class of 2026, DiPietro was named to the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year.

To qualify, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Cole Parks Earns Spot on WPI Dean’s List

Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Cole Parks of Bedford, a member of the class of 2024 majoring in Computer Science and Robotics Engineering, was named to the university’s Dean’s List for academic excellence for the fall semester.

A total of 2,299 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI’s fall 2023 Dean’s List. The criteria for the WPI Dean’s List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean’s List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

Dean’s List Honors for Helen Gillespy

Western New England University in Springfield is proud to announce that Helen Gillespy of Hanscom Air Force Base has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester. Gillespy is one of more than 700 students to achieve this mark of academic excellence. 

Students are named to the Dean’s List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.
