Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell is pleased to announce its partnership with the Town of Bedford on re-habilitating a beautiful home on Winterberry Way that will be sold at an affordable price to a family with an income of 30-60 percent of the area median.
Habitat purchased the home from the Town through the Bedford Municipal Housing Trust (MAHT) in late spring 2023 via an RFP process. The final closing was completed in December. The MAHT originally purchased the home in 2022 after realizing it had fallen into significant disrepair with the Town given the right of first refusal. The Trust required full rehabilitation as well as additional energy efficiency improvements. This three-bedroom single family home with a two-car garage will remain as an affordable home for the life of the building. The project supports the Town goals of preserving affordable homeownership opportunities.
Ribbon Cutting
Habitat will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on the morning of April 9. Local press and members of the community will be more than welcome. Please register your interest with [email protected].

Tickets and Sponsorships are on sale for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell’s Annual Gala to raise funds for this build in Bedford, as well those upcoming in Westford, Billerica, and Dracut and Habitat’s Critical Repair Program.
