The Select Board last week signed off on the third annual Music and Arts Festival, planned from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 15 on the Common.
The event, sponsored by the Bedford Cultural District, will feature live music and art displays and activities.
“It’s a family-friendly event,” said Town Manager Matt Hanson. He noted that the coordinator of Cultural District activities is the town’s housing and economic director, a position currently vacant after Jeff King’s retirement last Friday.
The cultural district is administered by a partnership that includes representatives of the Select Board, Planning Board, Bedford Arts and Crafts Society, Chamber of Commerce, the Bedford Cultural Council, First Parish, Historical Society, and the high school art program, as well as local artists, musicians, and performers.
