Submitted by Shawsheen Valley Technical High School

Shawsheen Valley Technical High School announces that registration is now open for the 2024 “Summer at Shawsheen” program. Tailored for youth, ages 7-18, the program features more than 20 diverse options at affordable rates, spanning different durations throughout a four-week period.

Designed to provide opportunities for local youth to experience Shawsheen while engaging in enriching and budget-friendly summer activities, the “Summer at Shawsheen” program always experiences rapid enrollment. Classes and clinics are led by Shawsheen’s teachers, coaches, and industry professionals, covering a spectrum of offerings such as sports clinics, vocational-technical programs, academic classes, and enrichment courses.

This year’s lineup introduces new additions such as Adobe Illustrator for Beginners and Beginner Crochet, along with an extended week for the ever-popular baseball clinic. In addition, an extra week of the full-day “Summer Explore” course has been added, enabling more students to discover a diverse range of vocational-technical areas.

Returning favorites this summer include Adventure Club, Everything Automotive, Cupcake & Cookie Design, the Summer Drama Program, and the College Application/Essay Prep course. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, cheering, and volleyball clinics.

Having achieved a record-breaking attendance of 572 students last year, it is highly recommended to register early.
