Five members of the Bedford High School indoor track team have qualified to compete in Saturday’s New England Interscholastic Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston.
Based on their performance in last weekend’s state meet, the girls’ 4×800 meter relay team of Grace Niu, Anna Massaro, Addi Poulter, and Zadie Buckley are entered in the regionals.
The quartet finished ninth in the state meet with a time of 9:55.9, establishing a BHS record in the event.
Also, Jonny Garraway, who placed 13th in the state meet in the mile with a time of 4:31.75, will be back on the track Saturday against others from the six-state region.
Other BHS results from the state meet were Carter Rauch, 19th in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:26.37; and Buckley, who finished 19th in the 1,000-meter in 3:19.61.
