Melting Snow and Lots of Rain Creates Shawsheen River Flood

Tuesday night’s rainstorm, which melted away most of the foot of snow that came on Sunday, created high waters on the town’s wellfield on Shawsheen Road. Here are photos of what it looked like on Wednesday afternoon.

And another big rainstorm is on the way for Saturday. And the stormy streak is expected to continue next week with more accumulating snow predicted for Monday night and Tuesday.
