Submitted by the Frank W. Thompson Masonic Lodge
Members of Frank W. Thompson Masonic Lodge responded to more calls than ever last year from the Bedford school nurses regarding children having trouble seeing the instruction board.
As part of their outreach, The Lodge paid for an eye examination, frames, and lenses provided by Bedford Vision, 200 Great Rd., for four children. Often these were the very first set of glasses the children ever used.
Past Master of the Lodge and owner of Bedford Vision, Robert DiCesare, has led the Lodge Eyeglasses Program for many years.
Frank W. Thompson Lodge has been a part of the Bedford community since 1955 and provides its members with opportunities for fellowship, charity, education, and leadership. In addition to glasses for school children, the Lodge hosts blood drives, grants college scholarships, and sponsors Bedford Scout Troop 114.
