Election and Town Meeting Letters and Comments Policy

Here are the deadlines for submitting letters and comments pertaining to the Annual Town Meeting, Bedford Town Election, and Massachusetts State Presidential Primary. 

It is The Bedford Citizen’s policy that only letters and comments coming from Bedford residents and Town of Bedford employees will be accepted within 45 days of those events. 

Letters and comments from residents and town employees will be accepted up to five working days before those events.

Annual Town Election

The Annual Town Election takes place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 at the John Glenn Middle School, McMahon Road.

Letters and comments pertaining to candidates and issues for the Annual Town Election submitted after noon on Wednesday, Jan. 24 will only be accepted from Bedford residents and Town of Bedford employees. 

The deadline for all letters and comments is noon on Monday, March 4. 

Annual Town Meeting

Bedford’s Annual Town Meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Bedford High School auditorium on Monday, March 25.

Letters and comments pertaining to warrant articles and issues submitted after noon on Friday, Feb. 9 will only be accepted from Bedford residents and Town of Bedford employees. 

The deadline for all letters and comments is noon on Monday, March 18. 

Presidential Primary

The Massachusetts Presidential Primary takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5. In Bedford, voting takes place at the John Glenn Middle School, McMahon Rd. 

Letters and comments pertaining to candidates and issues in the Massachusetts Presidential Primary submitted after noon on Friday, Feb. 19 will only be accepted from Bedford residents and Town of Bedford employees. 

The deadline for all letters and comments is noon on Tuesday, Feb. 27.
