After a one-month closure, Bedford’s contractors have wrapped up the renovation of the Town Center Playground. During that time, multiple new pieces of equipment were installed, worn parts replaced, benches added, and fresh playground-rated wood chips brought in.
However, due to the timing of the equipment delivery with the onset of cold weather, the contractor was unable to install the small section of Poured-in-Place “rubber” surrounding some of the new wheelchair-accessible items. This portion of the project will be completed during the next construction season, including the addition of the wheel-chair accessible We-Go-Round that must be installed on a solid surface.
