With genuine enthusiasm and pride, I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Bedford School Committee seat, set to open in March 2024.

This August, my family will celebrate a decade in this wonderful town, which embraced us warmly from day one.

Fond memories of The Bedford Family Connection events and playgroups resonate with us, symbolizing the beginning of our community-building journey and the formation of enduring friendships. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, where meaningful participation in local governance often requires a lifelong political background, I’ve spent years seeking ways to contribute to our town.

My involvement in town committees began with being appointed to the Bedford Cultural Council in 2018. Although my second term sadly concludes in 2024 (not by choice!), these experiences solidified my commitment to the path of service. In December 2021, I was appointed to the Volunteer Coordinating Committee, providing valuable insights into the selfless dedication of numerous individuals who generously contribute their time and energy to town committees.

In September 2022, I had the honor of participating as a community member in interviewing the two finalists for the Police Chief position. This year, I served on the committee for the School Superintendent search, a process that highlighted the broader responsibility of school committee members to consider the well-being of all children in the district, not just their own.

Beyond these town roles, I am a devoted spouse and parent to two children, one at Davis and the other at Lane. I have coached various sports for many years, spending a year on the Bedford Babe Ruth board as T-Ball commissioner, volunteered in classrooms at both schools, and volunteered to teach Spanish at Davis through the BEST-PTO World Language Program. I am also currently serving on the Wedgewood Executive Board.

In my professional capacity, I currently serve as the EVP, Business Operations at Clinical.ly, a leading technology company dedicated to delivering innovative solutions within the clinical research industry. In this pivotal role, my responsibilities extend across the entirety of the business, allowing me to contribute comprehensively to our organizational success.

Our school district is incredibly important to me, and I am eager to contribute to its purposeful evolution while helping guide its future trajectory. Having grown up in the New York City public school system, my educational experience was very different than kids who attend Bedford Public Schools, I have grown to love Bedford and the foundation that our schools offer our students.

As a parent, I am well aware of the crucial role a Bedford Public School education will play in our children’s futures. There is always room for improvement within our excellent Bedford schools, and I wish to have an active role in shaping those discussions.

I am confident that my perspectives based on my own experiences will be unique and can inject a breath of fresh air into the role. If granted the honor of being elected, I pledge to diligently safeguard the trust bestowed upon me by the families of Bedford, Hanscom, and Boston, approaching this responsibility with the utmost level of respect and commitment.
