Elaine M. (Zitano) Koury, 91, of Bedford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Dec. 15, 2023.
Elaine was born on Oct. 19, 1932. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Michael Koury for 31 years, loving mother of Susan Smith and her husband Austin of Medford, Matthew Koury and his wife Ruth of Medford, Marcia Koury and her husband John Crapo of Woburn, Christopher Koury and his wife Deborah of Reading, and Joanne Sullivan and her husband Patrick of Reading. Elaine was also the sister of Edward Zitano of Swampscott, Franicis Zitano of Revere and the late Peter Zitano. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Madeline, Austin, Michael, Caroline, Jennifer, Julia, Grace, Brenna, and Matthew.
Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd, Bedford.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec, 21 from the Bedford Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford.
Burial will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Concord. Relatives and friends invited.
