What's Up, Bedford? Submit your news!

The mission of The Bedford Citizen is to inform and engage the Bedford community through reporting news of local significance, promoting local events, fostering connectivity, and encouraging participation.

And we are looking for your contributions! Please consider donating to NewsMatch, but we also need your stories!

Since our inception in 2012, The Bedford Citizen has relied heavily on volunteer reporters and citizen involvement. In 2020, we were able to hire our first Community Reporter, Mike Rosenberg. Mike’s coverage of town meetings, events, and feature stories as a part-time Citizen staff member is what brings most of our news to you. Your donations also help support our Managing Editor, Wayne Braverman, to attend and report on meetings and events and handle the editorial operation of The Bedford Citizen

The rest of the news, features, and columns you see day-to-day are written by volunteer writers with The Bedford Citizen, student interns, some Arts coverage thanks to the Bedford Cultural Council grants, or submitted by organizations.

We’d love to hear from you! What is your group or organization doing? Did you take a great picture around town that you’d like to share? Has your youth sports team had a good season? Did your Bedford business win an award? Is your non-profit running a fundraiser?

Let us know!

Write your story and upload the document, including any images, using our Submit an Article form. If you’re worried about the writing part, send us the details and images and we can put together the story! All submissions should adhere to our editorial policies and may be edited prior to publication. Thank you for being a part of The Bedford Citizen community!
