Maggie’s Other Farm Closed – Management to Focus on North Shore

October 16, 2023

Submitted by Serenitee Restaurant Group

Serenitee Management has made the difficult decision to close Maggie’s Other Farm in Billerica, effective immediately on Sunday, Oct. 15. Located beyond the reaches of the Massachusetts’s North Shore, Billerica is outside of the Serenitee Restaurant Group’s geographical radius.

“All of Serenitee Management lives and works on the North Shore,” explained founder & CEO Jeff Cala. “We are a part of the communities where our restaurants are located, and have come to realize that this is intertwined with how we operate and a contributing factor in our success; we have deeply rooted ties in the neighborhood.”

Serenitee Management recently purchased American BBQ located in Rowley, and will take over ownership on Nov. 1. The community-fixture is located just off routes 133 and 1A between existing Serenitee Restaurant Group locations, which American BBQ will be joining as a part of the group’s Rewards Program.

The addition of the Rewards Program, and minor menu streamlining, are the only changes that Serenitee Management will be making at the moment. The team wants to be in the space and see what the community wants before making any further decisions.

“That is how we like to approach all our restaurants,” adds Cala. “We may come into a project with a distinct point of view, but we allow it to evolve based on what the community needs.” American BBQ is expected to reopen on Nov. 8 after a brief closure following the change in ownership.
