Richard A. Chick, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on June 23, 1943 in Cambridge and grew up in Bedford, graduating from Bedford High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1964, then moved to Foxboro and returned to Bedford 30 years ago.
He is predeceased by his first wife Patricia Chick and leaves behind his loving wife Virginia; two sons and their spouses, Jeffrey and Susan Chick of Plainville and Douglas and Heather Chick of Rochester, along with three step-children; Kristen Dibble of Worcester, Matthew Dibble and wife Suzanne of Methuen, and Jessica Wiggins and husband Chester of Bedford. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Jorja Chick, Tyler and Kelsi Chick; Jason, Kaitlyn and Emily Dibble; and Madison, Benjamin and Mason Wiggins.
A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Richie’s life will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Bedford American Legion Post 221, 357 Great Rd., Bedford.
