This coming week, Bedford Patrons of Music Students (POMS) is offering two new ways to eat well and support student music at the same time.

Maggie’s Other Farm Fundraiser: 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 20

On Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 5 to 9 p.m., POMS will host a fundraiser at Maggie’s Other Farm, 15 Middlesex Turnpike. Show the POMS flyer, and 10 percent of all food orders – both dine-in and takeout – will be donated to POMS.

Local band The Funky Bunch, comprised of three Bedford High School seniors, will perform live music from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. After that, Maggie’s will host its regular Wednesday night trivia, beginning around 6:45 p.m.

This is the first community fundraiser that Maggie’s Other Farm has hosted since opening last October. The restaurant offers a varied menu featuring Nashville hot chicken, sushi and poke bowls, smoked brisket, and more. They also have gluten-free and vegetarian options and a large kids’ menu.

Bedford Day Fireworks Concessions: 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 23

Students and other representatives from POMS will be marching in the Bedford Day parade on Saturday, Sept. 23 and POMS will have an informational booth at the fair where visitors can get more information about private lessons and opportunities to volunteer.

In the evening, POMS will be offering Snack Shack fare at the fireworks. POMS will set up a tent and food station near the basketball courts so spectators can grab a burger, hot dog, and other snacks, and then settle in to watch the fireworks from the Town Center fields. Volunteers are needed to help with prepping, cooking, and serving: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080A4DAAAD22AA8-poms2/3752067#/
