As cooler weather approaches, the Bedford Interfaith community is holding a fall/winter clothing drive for new neighbors at the Bedford Plaza Hotel from now until Saturday, Sept. 30.
As you tidy your closet for the coming winter season, please consider donating new or gently used clothes in sizes for high school age to adult. Items most in need include outerwear, boots, hats and gloves, and other clothing. Our new neighbors may not have experienced a typical New England winter.
The First Church of Christ, Congregational, 25 The Great Road, initiated the clothing drive and is offering their building for collecting and storing clothing. Drop-off times are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays, and 7 to 9 p.m. on and Tuesday and Thursday evenings. People may also leave items at the First Church booth on Bedford Day.
Please do not drop off clothing at the Plaza Hotel.
People may also deposit clothing at First Parish Church on the Bedford Common on Sunday mornings or at the church office during the week (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
