The Woburn Sportsmen’s Association awarded their annual scholarships on Thursday, July 13. Among the scholarship winners this year are Richard Fidele and Amy Lerra of Bedford. Fidele received a John Penney Scholarship and Lerra was presented with the Scott Young Scholarship.
The John Penny and Scott Young Scholarships are presented to “deserving and grateful high school graduates who are continuing their education at a trade school or college.” Both John Penny and Scott Young were active within the association and in their communities.
