Dear Bedford Schools Community,
First School Committee Meeting on Tue., Aug. 29; Superintendent Chuang’s Entry Plan
The School Committee convenes for the first meeting of the school year at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29 in the Select Board Room in Town Hall and also on Zoom. The agenda can be found here. I will present my draft entry plan, take feedback, and answer any questions from committee members.
My entry plan will be posted to the BPS website shortly after the meeting, and I will invite feedback from the community before finalizing the plan in early September
Final “Scoops with the Supe” in Boston on Thursday, August 31!
I have truly enjoyed meeting families, students, and staff at the JGMS and BHS Scoops events Scoops with the Supe events during the past two Thursdays. One final event remains on Thursday, Aug. 31, which will feature a full-fledged ice-cream truck from the Tipping Cow, so I encourage Bedford and Hanscom families to join Boston families for a gourmet ice cream treat.
- Aug. 31: ABCD Parker Hill Fenway, 714 Parker St., Boston, MA 02120; Tipping Cow gourmet ice cream from 4 – 6 p.m. followed by Back to School Night from 6 – 7 p.m. for Boston families.
Back to School Information
Each school and relevant programs have been sending out back-to-school information to relevant families. Please be on the lookout for these messages and reach out to the appropriate principal or program director if you have any questions.
2023 – 2024 Bus Routes, Policies, and Information
Riding the school bus is a great benefit to families and directly results in less traffic and congestion on our roads and school campuses during school arrival and dismissal times. Please visit the Bedford Public Schools Transportation webpage for current information. Routes and bus stops will be posted here as soon as they are available, and by Thursday, Aug. 31. Bus stop policies are posted, as well as contact information for questions or concerns.
