The Bedford High School Athletic Hall of Fame invites nominations for its class of 2023.
Letters of nomination should be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to Keith Mangan, Director of Athletics, Bedford High School, 9 Mudge Way, Bedford, MA 01730.
The reason for the nomination should include, if possible, statistical details, testimonials, and honors. Deadline is Monday, Oct. 16.
The ninth biennial induction is currently scheduled for Saturday evening, Dec. 2, at a location to be announced.
The Hall of Fame, established in 2006, recognizes athletes who “through outstanding performance have distinguished themselves and brought honor to BHS.”
Coaches who have achieved “a high level of proficiency and success, contributed to the development of sound educational values, and promoted high standards of teamwork and sportsmanship” can also be nominated.
Also eligible for nomination are teams with “exceptional” records of success and administrators and friends “who have made outstanding contributions to the BHS interscholastic athletic program.”
Induction eligibility for players, coaches, and teams begins five years after the year of graduation, departure from a coaching position, or specific team accomplishment.
