Here is another collection of award and honors announcements about Bedford residents. There will be more to come.

Two Bedford Students Earn Sarah Williston Prize

Two Bedford students at Mount Holyoke College earned the Sarah Williston Prize. This is presented to students with the highest grades in their class who ranked as Sarah Williston Scholars during their sophomore or junior year.  

Local students receiving the prize include Annie (Anne) Williams (Bedford High School 2019 graduate), who graduated from Mount Holyoke College this past spring, and BHS 2020 graduate Lily Nemirovsky, who just finished her junior year.

Rachel Winkler on Clark University Dean’s List

Rachel J. Winkler of Bedford was named to first honors on the Clark University Dean’s List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Spring 2023 semester.

Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

Founded in 1887, Clark University in Worcester is a liberal arts-based research university that prepares its students to meet tomorrow’s most daunting challenges and embrace its greatest opportunities.

Six Local Students on Tuft’s Dean’s List

Tufts University recently announced the Dean’s List for the fall semester.

Among Bedford students earning dean’s list honors is/are:

  • Riley Daniel, Class of 2025
  • Shahadah Manzer, Class of 2026
  • Derek Shao, Class of 2024
  • Jackson Warhover, Class of 2024
  • Ittai Weisman, Class of 2026
  • Alexandra Zorn, Class of 2026

Madison Filosa and Zoe Scipioni Qualify for Dean’s List

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that Bedford’s Madison Filosa and Zoe Scipioni qualified for the Spring 2023 Dean’s List.

To be included on the Dean’s List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Grace O’Shaughnessy on Roger Williams Dean’s List

Grace O’Shaughnessy, of Bedford has been named to the Spring 2023 Dean’s List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I.

Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean’s List that semester.

Dean’s List Honors for Jasper Paez

Jasper Paez was named to the Siena College President’s List for the Spring 2023 Semester. Jasper is from Bedford.

The President’s List requires a 3.9 grade point average or higher.

Founded in 1937, Siena College is a private, Catholic Franciscan, residential, liberal arts college with a student body of about 3,000 in Loudonville, NY.

Matthew Carluccio Makes Dean’s List

Matthew Carluccio of Bedford, who is studying Aeronautical Engineering, has made the Dean’s Honor List for the Spring 2023 semester at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Rensselaer’s Dean’s Honor List is compiled at the end of each semester to recognize undergraduate students who have completed 12 or more credit hours with a 3.5 grade point average or better for that term. During the course of almost two centuries, Rensselaer has built a reputation for providing an education of undisputed intellectual rigor based on educational innovation in the laboratory, classroom, and studio.
