The Town of Bedford is pleased to announce the first 3 events of the 2023 schedule for collection of Household Hazardous Products. The collections will take place at the Town of Lexington Landfill Site at 60 Hartwell Avenue from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the following Saturdays: April 22, May 13, and June 10. Additional dates for 2023 will be posted once finalized.

Certain materials are not accepted as household waste at the event. Please view the list of acceptable and unacceptable materials under the Household Hazardous Waste tab on the on the Health Department’s website – or call the Health Department for this information.

In an effort to be efficient and to keep costs down, we ask you to come to the event with at least 10 gallons or 10 pounds of waste materials. That is the minimum per car for which we are charged. You can reach this amount by bringing your neighbors’ household hazardous waste to the event along with yours. Please always remember these safety tips: ensure waste containers are secured for transport in the rear of your vehicle; never mix chemicals; store different items in different boxes; always leave materials in their original containers; and do not smoke while handling or transporting materials.
