A large group of family, friends, and co-workers from near and far gathered at the First Parish Church in Bedford on Saturday afternoon to celebrate a remarkable woman for a very special birthday. The guest of honor was Dorothy Bergin, who was celebrating her 95th birthday.
Co-workers? Has there ever been a 95-year-old’s birthday party that included current co-workers? Well, this one did.

It was a lovely celebration with music by multi-generational members of her large family, speakers from the many diverse areas of Dot’s long and fulfilling life, and plenty of food, along with two Happy Birthday songs (the Beatles’ version and the traditional version).
Dot has touched the lives of many people throughout the years and continues to do so. She has worked as a librarian, a technical editor, and business information specialist. Dot is a long-time member of the First Parish Church and has been active in Bedford in many different ways, including serving on the Bedford Library Board of Trustees.
We wish Dot a very happy birthday and many more to come in good health and spirits.

The happiest of birthdays to you Dot.
