The Bedford School Committee on Tuesday night voted unanimously to appoint Cliff Chuang as superintendent of schools, effective July 1.
Chuang is senior associate commissioner at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
He started his career teaching secondary mathematics and science in Boston. He holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Harvard University, and a M.Ed. in secondary mathematics teaching from Boston College.
