Biennial Community Art Show is Coming Back

The Bedford Free Public Library is bringing back its Biennial Community Art Show. The event, normally held every other year, has been on hold since 2019. The library has issued a Call for Artists, inviting local artists to participate in the juried art show and display their work in the library gallery this spring.

Jane Deering, a resident of Concord, committee member at Concord Art and Trustee of the Concord Museum, will be serving as the show juror.

All artists, of any age or skill level, who live or work in the Bedford area are invited and encouraged to apply. Art and craft of all media are eligible as long as it is “original, created in the last five years, and not shown before in the library.” Artists are limited to two entries per person and there is no entry fee.

The show runs from March to May with an artist’s reception on Sunday, March 19.

Details are posted on the library website at https://www.bedfordlibrary.net (under Events / Art Exhibits) and the application can be accessed directly at https://www.bedfordlibrary.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Call-for-entries-form-2023.F.pdf.
