Last Day to Register to Vote in State Primary, Saturday, August 27

Early in-person voting begins on Saturday, August 27

  • Saturday, August 27, from 9 AM to 5 PM
  • Monday, August 29, from 8 AM to 7 PM
  • Tuesday, August 30 from 8 AM to 4 PM
  • Wednesday, August 31 from 8 AM to 4 PM
  • Thursday, September 1 from 8 AM to 4 PM
  • Friday, September 2 from 8 AM to 1 PM

Planning to Vote by Mail?

The Town Clerk’s office must receive your Vote by Mail Application by 5 pm on Monday, August 29

Vote at the Polls on September 6

The Massachusetts State Primary will take place on Tuesday, September 6. Bedford’s polls will be open from 7 am until 8 pm at the John Glenn Middle School.

Who’s on the State Primary Ballot?

Precincts 1-4 and newly-established Precinct 2A will have separate ballots. Visit the Town Clerk’s website to see each of the ballots.

Bedford’s Realigned Precincts

Bedford has a new precinct—2A—that will be represented by the Fifth Congressional District, currently served by Katherine Clarke of Lexington. Approximately 500 Bedford registered voters reside in Precinct 2A.

  • Precinct 2A: Caribou Street; Curve Street, 6-34 (Even); Gray Terrace; Great Road, 340-451; Houlton Street; Madawaska Street; Masardis Street; Page Road, 2-48 (Even); Perham Street; Pine Street, 2-34 (Even) and 35-47; Shawsheen Avenue; Shawsheen Road; Short Street; Sibley Drive; Sunnyfield Road; and Woodland Road

Residential addresses have been added to both Precincts 3 and 4.

  • Precinct 3: Brooksbie Road, 3-43 (Odd); Cedar Ridge Drive; Cedar Ridge Terrace; Elmbrook Circle; Elmbrook Road; Great Road, 252-284 (Even); Jonathan Lane; Page Road, 1-145 (Odd) and 62-84 (Even); Springs Road, 153; 157; 301-317
  • Precinct 4: Alcott Street, 7 and 9; Dewey Road; Gould Road, 1-21 and 22-35 (Odd); Springs Road, 5-148 and 152-600 (Even), 319-337, and 500-614

All Bedford precincts will continue to vote in the gymnasium at John Glenn Middle School, 99 McMahon Road (click link for directions).
