This week The Bedford Citizen celebrates its first ten years of covering local news for Bedford, Massachusetts.
In Seasons of Love, composer Jonathan Larson counts a year as “Five hundred twenty-five thousand, six hundred minutes. Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred moments so dear.” Although Larson’s numbers don’t scan particularly well for 10 years, ‘moments so dear’ are my experience.
As I step away from my position as Managing Editor, I’m humbled and grateful to have been part of The Citizen’s first decade. It’s been an amazing run, and I look forward to helping to set a course for the second decade.
The Citizen’s board will soon begin to describe its aspirations and plans for the future.
Stay tuned—it’s apt to be a remarkable adventure!
All the best, Julie , in your future endeavors!
Thank you Julie!

Going to be tough to find a successor as dedicated and hard working as you have been, Julie. Hope this will mean a little more relaxation in your life. Thank you so much for all you have done!
Congratulations, Julie! Thank you for 10 years of unique service- by spreading our news, bonding us as a community ❤️
