The Bedford Chamber of Commerce continued the long-standing tradition of the Prom Stroll on Wednesday, May 25th at the Jenks Trail, located in front of the high school. Barrett Sotheby International Realty once again sponsored this year’s event.

2022 marks the 24th year for the annual Prom Stroll started by Maureen Sullivan, former executive director of the Bedford Chamber of Commerce. The very first event was a  small gathering of only 35 couples, and it has now grown to become a favorite community event with 117 couples attending this year.

“This community event represents everything that is great about living and working in a small town. Of course, we are grateful to our Chamber member Barrett Sotheby’s for their sponsorship. It’s amazing how supportive our local Bedford  businesses are in regard to the schools and community.” Bagley said

Over four hundred family and friends who attended the event gathered around Jenks Trail to watch and celebrate Bedford High Seniors. The stroll started at 4:30 PM and the class picture was taken in the Main Lobby of the high school.

Laurie Cadigan, CEO, and owner of Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty is proud to have her company sponsor this year’s event once again. “It’s an exciting tribute to the senior class and community that was lost over the past two years. We have many real estate agents, past and present that have had their children participate in this wonderful event. We are pleased to support our youth and the community.”

We must also recognize and thank Susan DiGangi, Co-President of the BHSPA (Bedford High School Parents Association). Susan put countless hours of work into reviving the Prom Stroll including finding the photographer, working on the event checklist (and ensuring everything was done), finding announcers, ensuring BHS and the Recreation Department were contacted to reschedule games, organizing police meetings, class officer & photographer meetings, parking, and group photo planning. It is not an understatement to say that Prom Stroll 2022 would not have occurred without Susan’s leadership and dedication to the Class of 2022 and their families.
