Town-wide Clean-up Sponsored by Revise Energy ~ Sunday, May 1, from Noon to 4 pm

April 20, 2022

The second annual town-wide cleanup organized by Revise Energy is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 1. Individuals and groups are invited to participate by registering on a special web page, https://www.callrevise.com/bedfordcleanup/.

Town departments are mobilizing to support the four-hour town-wide cleanup according to Dan Carroll, chief operating officer for the energy assessment company.

Personnel from the Department of Public Works and Police Department will “provide logistical support and materials needed for the clean-up day,” said Carroll. “Revise is extremely grateful to the town manager for her support once again,” he said.

Six locations will receive special attention: Fawn Lake; the entire narrow gauge rail trail between the Billerica line and Loomis Street; Carlisle Road between the compost center and North Road; both sides of Davis Road along the White Cedar Swamp and the boardwalk; the Hartwell Town Forest area near the Hartwell Road entrance; and the Shawsheen River banks next to the Great Road Shopping Center.

Volunteers will convene in the rear parking lot at John Glenn Middle School, where everyone will receive a reflective safety vest along with bags and other clean-up tools. “Everyone can return there at 4 p.m. and we will provide some food and gift cards from local restaurants to say thank you,” Carroll said.
