Enlisted men and women from Hanscom Air Force Base participated in pregame festivities for the Boston Red Sox home opener with the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park on Friday afternoon.
During the fourth inning’s celebration of “Hats Off to Heroes,” the Red Sox recognized Airman 1st Class Kenneth Pedres, 66th Comptroller Squadron finance technician, for his service.
Faces in the Crowd
Hanscom Air Force Base has a long-standing community partnership with the Boston Red Sox organization. Over time, Airmen have been involved in pre-game festivities, thrown first-pitch strikes, assisted with coordinating flyovers, provided Honor Guard support, and been recognized during ‘Hats off to Heroes’ at Fenway Park.
