The Bedford High School boys’ basketball team is racking up the miles at the end of the year. And so far, there are dividends.

The Bucs defeated Blackstone Regional Vocational of Upton early Tuesday evening, 64-50, in the opening round of Bob Muir Tournament at Auburn High School, just south of Worcester.

The 4-1 Buccaneers head back to Auburn on Thursday for the finals against either Auburn or Bay Path Regional Vocational of Charlton. Tipoff will be at 6:30.

Muir was the director of the Auburn Boys’ Summer Basketball League for more than 30 years.
