Trunk or Treat Draws a Family Crowd

October 30, 2021
Wrapped in monarch butterfly wings, a trio of Bedford Rotary members distributed candy as well as milkweed seeds in the hope of drawing more monarchs to Bedford

The littlest pumpkin sported a costume that was “made by Gramma!”

Several members of the Bedford Chamber of Commerce gathered next to Whole Foods Market on Friday afternoon for a safe and energetic trick-or-treat extravaganza.

The Bedford Unicorn was on hand, along with realtors done up as dinosaurs (or riding one!). The police and fire departments handed out candy and sent many youngsters home wearing bright red fire hats.

Sporting monarch butterfly wings, Bedford Rotary members distributed packets of milkweed seeds in the hope that families will plant them, and more monarch butterflies will appear around town next summer.

Families, including grandparents, were in evidence. One toddler dressed as Mr. Rogers (complete with Daniel Tiger)  arrived with his dad and grandmother. Many moms and dads dressed as inventively as their trick-or-treating offspring.
