A recap of recent results for Middlesex White and Middlesex Blue U-12s

Bedford’s Middlesex White under-12 Babe Ruth summer team battled from behind twice to prevail over Lexington Monday, 11-7.

The Bedford team erased a 4-0 deficit with six runs in the third inning. The next time at bat, trailing 7-6, Bedford added three runs to secure the lead for good, thanks to Kai Slesher, who hit an inside-the-park home run with a full count and two runners on base.

Paul Stewart also had two base hits for the winners. Lucien Ackerley had a season-best game with the bat. Nolan Borella and Brendan Comeau sealed the win, combining two innings of scoreless relief. Middlesex White played an error-free game.

Trailing 4-0 with only two hits over five innings, Bedford’s under-12 Middlesex Blue Babe Ruth summer team exploded for eight runs in the sixth en route to a come-from-behind 8-6 victory over Winchester.

The outburst was led by a line-drive shot to the fence by Vincenzo Signori.  Riley Leavell-Coldwell also drove in two runs with a double.

Nick Brecher pitched three innings, allowing only two earned runs for the win. The team has not won four of its five games halfway through the schedule.
