Col. Robert J. Latina, USAF, Ret. passed away on June 8, 2021. After a 29 year career as a Systems Analysis Officer and Systems Engineering Management Officer at Hanscom Air Force Base, he worked at Wang Corporation as its Director of Federal Procurement. In high school he played clarinet with jazz great Pete Fountain, loved dancing, playing gin rummy, surfing, and skiing. Later in life, he enjoyed walking with friends, good conversations about politics, and a commitment to Cursillo.
Visitation will take place at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Road from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, June 13. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 14, at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 25 North Road, Chelmsford. Burial will be on Tuesday, June 15 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
