With Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day all coming soon, Bedford Boy Scout Troop 194 is holding a flag sale to help our neighbors show their patriotism and to raise funds for troop activities. If your American flag is showing its age, or you’ve always wanted a Bedford flag, now is your chance. Three flags are available for purchase:
- US flag, made of printed nylon, measuring 3’ x 5’ ($25)
- US flag, made of sewn nylon with embroidered stars, measuring 3’ x 5’ ($35)
- Bedford flag, made of printed nylon and measuring 3’ x 3’ 8” ($45)
For an additional donation of $50, a detail of uniformed Scouts will remove your old flag and install your new flag in a formal flag-raising ceremony. You may also purchase from the troop an 18’ aluminum flagpole, uninstalled, for $150. For $250, Scouts will also install the flagpole in the ground and raise your new flag in a formal flag-raising ceremony.
Troop 194 will also accept at no charge worn, damaged, or otherwise unserviceable flags for honorable retirement, in partnership with our sponsor, Anthony-Hunt-Hamilton American Legion Post 211.
