An Obituary: Thomas Arthur Kane

Thomas Arthur Kane passed away on March 16, 2021. A long-time Bedford resident Mr. Kane moved to Linden Ponds in Hingham several years ago. After graduation from Virginia Military Institute, he joined the U.S. Air Force where he flew the B-47 Stratojet Bomber; his civilian career included positions with various aircraft companies and as a project manager responsible for missile configuration studies and aerodynamic analysis on Sparrow variants at Raytheon. Mr. Kane’s many interests ranged from racing motorcycles and sports cars as a young man to playing chess and golf with patients at the Bedford VAMC. He served First Parish Unitarian Universalist as a member of its Parish Committee in the 1970s.

Services will be private and burial will be at the U.S. Military Cemetery in Bourne. A memorial service will be scheduled later.
