Letter to the Editor: My Weekday School Thanks Flatbread for its ‘Benefit Bake’ Fundraiser

December 29, 2020

Submitted by Kathy Reiss

My Weekday School (MWS), a private, nonprofit preschool in Lexington, was pleased to partner with Flatbread Company for a fundraising “Benefit Bake” on December 10.

The event brought out many MWS families, some currently attending and also some alumni families.  Teachers and staff of MWS also made the evening their family pizza night with a delicious meal from Flatbread.  Stephanie Jelloe of Flatbread described the evening as a good turnout.

Kathy Reiss of Bedford, the director of My Weekday School, was very happy with the success of the event.  “We have been looking for creative ways to raise funds to maintain affordability for our families, since many of our fundraising efforts over the last year have had to be canceled due to COVID.  We were so excited by the opportunity to coordinate with Flatbread so that we could benefit from something people are likely to do anyway: order pizza for takeout.  Flatbread has done so much to help organizations in this regard since they opened in Bedford.  We are happy to help draw patrons to a business that is always giving back to the local community.”
